• Review contractors' quality management and control procedures on dredging projects and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative. • Report onsite during hours of dredging shift work as needed. • Observe and investigate construction activities to identify major problems and report findings to the Contracting Officer's Representative. • Review submittals and provide recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative concerning acceptability. • Review and provide written comments to the Contracting Officer's Representative on selected contractor submittals pursuant to special clauses of the contract. • Provide a recommendation to the Contracting Officer's Representative concerning the acceptability of hydrosurvey reports and contract performance, payment estimates, and other reports concerning the progress of construction. • Assist the Contracting Officer's Representative in preparing documents during the sequence of events required for processing a change order and claims from initial action to final negotiation and payment. • Make technical interpretations of dredging templates and specifications and provide engineering determinations on whether methods and equipment employed meet the requirements of contract specifications • Review contractor’s records of work accomplished, and equipment used and report findings • Provide written comments to the Contracting Officer's Representative. • Review project plans and specifications to determine such things as practicability, whether physical obstructions or other difficulties have been anticipated, and whether equipment selected is readily available.
