Human Resource and Industrial Relation Coordinator
• Conduct a proper and fair audit, complete with scoring, comments and evidence on each audit item. • Complete a detailed audit report and identify required mitigation, as well as time frame within which project requirements are to be met. • Report the audit results, in the required format, to the contractor management and request clarification as well as mitigation agreed by the contractor. • Follow-up with mitigation steps on critical items and report progress to the FGP IR Manager. • Update the Incident dashboard daily, or as often as required and close the items within the required time frames. • Attend to complaints received from contractor ‘ees, by referring such to Contractor IR representatives in the first instance, and thereafter investigate such complaints if it remains unresolved. • Attend worker committee meetings as and when requested by Site IR Supervisor • Ensure that worker committee meeting minutes are placed on record • Report on issues raised and request clarification if required, or mitigation agreed to by the contractor • Investigate all grievances and report all findings to the FGP IR Manager for action and resolution • Report on issues raised and request clarification if required, or mitigation agreed to by the contractor • Update the Incident / grievance dashboard daily, or as often as required and close the items within the required time frames • Assume the responsibility for the supervision and control of IR Teams designated to the position • Transfer the knowledge and skills to the IR Specialists / Coordinators as may be required in the execution of your duties • Provide workers and managers with reliable information with regards to the RoK Labour Code, IR policies, procedures, processes and best practices • Promptly respond to any information / early warning indicators, which may pose an IR risk / potential risk to the project and action as appropriate • Actively support and contribute to the skill, knowledge and competency of the rest of the FGP IR team to ensure excellence in IR support service to the IR and Project Management teams • Work with IR and project management to allign policies, procedures and processes which may impact on the project • Provide contractors with information about policies, procedures, conditions of service, wages etc.
