Key responsibilities: - Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements. - Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical commodities. - Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions, monitor supplier performance by ensuring product timely - Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required. - Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems. - Authorize payment for purchases by reviewing invoices and related documentation. - Assist in interpreting laws, policy, codes, and regulations pertaining to purchasing - Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other job related tasks as needed; enabling other workers to achieve their job objectives - Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers - Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible - Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods - Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process. Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new suppliers - Other operations, management and administrative tasks consistent with the overall scope of this position.

Senior Procurement & Logistics officer (Sub-contracting section): Purchase, sub-contract, reporting, procurement, supplier and sub-contractors data collection Ensure that quantity, quality, terms and conditions are appropriate and in accordance to the specifications required, as indicated in Purchase Order; Undertake all substantive procurement functions for all activities, including tendering, evaluation, placement and monitoring of Purchase and Service contracts. Ensure fairness, transparent bidding process and effective competition, Handling the metrology issue for RoK measurement instrumentation, P2U for devices, equipment, machinery; Other operations, management and administrative tasks consistent with the overall scope of this position.
