• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (well operations, reservoir development, reservoir management) to optimize well placement and drilling strategies, ensuring maximum hydrocarbon recovery. • Conduct comprehensive geological analyses to identify reservoir properties, characterize formations, and mitigate drilling risks. • Utilize advanced software tools (e.g., Petrel, Schlumberger Techlog, Gravitas, OFM) to integrate geological data and support decision-making processes. • Monitor drilling operations in real-time, providing geological interpretations and recommendations to enhance drilling efficiency and minimize costs. • Conduct post-drilling evaluations, analyze well performance, and recommend adjustments to completion and production strategies. • Prepare Geotechnical program, End of well report, technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, summarizing drilling results, reservoir characteristics, and operational insights. • Planning and logistics coordination of logging and coring operations including on-site supervision and monitoring the drilling progress of all wells. • Conduct pre-job meeting to inform contractors of logging, coring, data acquisition programme to communicate well objectives and for early planning of equipment/personnel and identify potential problems. • Serve as Geoscience Department interface with Drilling, Completions, Well services and Well Performance teams to guide planning and support real-time decision making. • Supervise/liaise with Well site Geologists, Data Engineers, and Wireline Logging, Coring, Mudlogging and MWD/LWD contractors and provide quality control of services. • Assist in training of Well site Geologists to improve competence and overall communications.

Responsibilities include the evaluation of offset well data before drilling operations commence. Analyzing, evaluating, and describing formations while drilling, utilizing cuttings, gas, LWD, and wireline logging data. Picking casing points, quick-look hydrocarbon (HC) evaluation, advising on drilling hazards, and optimizing drilling bit performance. Taking full responsibility for making decisions about suspending or continuing drilling. Providing advice to on-site and operations office personnel. Supervising mudlogging, LWD/MWD, wireline logging, and core services personnel, including picking core points, describing cores on the rig site, and supervising core plugging. Monitoring quality control related to their services. Keeping detailed records, writing reports, and completing daily, weekly, final well reports, and logs (Master log, Composite log, Gas log, Geomechanical log, Pressure log, etc.), and sending these to appropriate departments and partners

Control and supervision over contractual services are performed as part of the Geodynamic monitoring program. This program incorporates various methods for monitoring natural and induced vertical and horizontal crustal movements, sinkhole formation, and instances of salt tectonics-driven well casing collapse and shear. The methods currently employed in the program include passive seismic monitoring, which is monitored both at the surface and downhole (microseismic monitoring), gravity survey, high-precision GPS and leveling survey, interferometric SAR, and a range of electric survey methods (VES, TDEM, Electrical tomography) for sinkhole study.
