Marine Operations Assistant - Keeping track of all the certificates belonging to all vessels - Updating certificate files in the office - Screening, present certificates, renew certificates and get new certificates - Registration data in Avecs with regard to certification - Making an annual report - Warning relevant people in time that certificates have to be renewed - Advising people on board in regards to keeping certification up to date - Taking care to keep the vessels and barges in class. - Carrying out inspections on the vessels. Including pre-sailing inspections for vessels coming on/off hire with any client. - Keeping track of Non-conformities which come out of client or class inspections - Acting as the vocal point with Class Societies - Acting as the vocal point with authorities in regard to renewal or new certificates - Advising Technical department in regard to classification rules - Getting involved in investigation in case of Marine incidents - Assisting the Operations Manager and the Technical Superintendent

Job description: - Supervise & coordinate activities in the warehouse and storage area - control goods traffic / security - Check/control registration in the MPS - Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to customs on goods imported under PSA - Facilitate as contact person with the Customs Authorities and customs brokers concerning clearance of goods - efficient and economic arrangement of the warehouse and storage area - handling (time stamp) and distribution of incoming freight documents - coordinate the monthly/quarterly/yearly stock taking - arrange and administrate goods to be returned to vendor and coordinate the courier service - Development and improvement of procedures for warehouse activities - concurrent operation with purchasing with local suppliers
